Just Published - SNDA Article by Mark Morfopoulos

Published: December 11, 2008

Part one of “Tenants Beware! - Lenders Rewrite Leases Through SNDA Agreements,” Mark Morfopoulos’ newest article, has just been published in the December 2008 edition of Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy. The second part will follow in January. In it, he focuses on how the SNDA (subordination non-disturbance and attornment agreement) can have impacts that are at least as important as a tenant’s concern not to be disturbed in its possession of the premises.

Mark is an attorney in the Commercial Real Estate Group at Meislik & Meislik and has a special focus in the area of Retail Real Estate Law. Mr. Morfopoulos formerly was an in-house attorney for a Fortune 500 company and, as such, regularly handled complex deals at domestic and international locations. While acting as in-house counsel he was instrumental in initiating a company-wide environmental audit program. As a private practitioner, Mark managed the Toys R Us lease in Times Square, New York and negotiated a successful cable franchise contract with Verizon.

Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy “provides practical, must-have information on the business and legal aspects of commercial leases.” It is published monthly by the Law Journal Newsletters and subscriptions can be obtained at
