Ira Meislik Invited to Speak at 2013 Shopping Center Law Conference

Ira Meislik has been invited back to speak at the 2013 Shopping Center Law Conference sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers. This year’s Conference will be held in San Diego, California from October 16 through October 19, 2013. His presentation will be as part of a workshop: “The Roof is on Fire: A Practical Look at Best Practices In Dealing With Casualty Damage, the Landlord and Tenant, and the Insurance Company.” Expected to draw up to 150 attendees, Ira Meislik will be joined in the workshop by John Kim, Corporate Counsel at the Westfield Group. Attendees should expect a vigorous discussion about the difference between one’s expectations about a “theoretical” fire or other casualty and what to expect when the “peril” does its damage.

Ira Meislik has been frequently recognized for his professional achievements. Mr. Meislik has repeatedly been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers In America®. The JEB consists of seven members drawn from the Uniform Laws Commission, the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. In 2009 he was singled out by Real Estate New Jersey magazine as one of the Garden State’s top real estate attorneys. Ira Meislik’s practice is concentrated in two areas – Business Law and Commercial Real Estate Law. His commercial real estate practice focuses on the needs of landlords and tenants primarily within shopping centers and office properties. In addition, he has extensive experience in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of real property. His business law practice covers general business, commercial, and transactional matters.
