Karen Meislik and Ira Meislik have each been selected to be listed among the New Jersey Super Lawyers listing published inside the April 2009 issue of New Jersey Monthly magazine. Ira Meislik has been included in the Real Estate category each year since the Super Lawyer’s designation first appeared in New Jersey. Karen Meislik, first designated in 2007, is listed among her Family Law colleagues.
These selections are the result of a rigorous multistep selection process. After candidates are nominated in a statewide peer selection process, others are added following a review of legal trade publications and professional databases. Then, each candidate is evaluated based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including: transactions, experience, honors and awards, pro bono activity, scholarly lectures and writings, and bar activities. Then, blue ribbon panels in more than 70 areas of practice evaluate candidates. After background checks are completed, the final list represents less than 5% of the attorneys in NJ.

Mark provided the newsletter’s editors with valuable tips for this timely subject and for their article.
