Super Lawyers – For the First Time, and Again!

Ira Meislik, the law firm’s managing principal, and Karen E. Ira Meislik has been included in the Real Estate category each year since the Super Lawyer’s designation first appeared in New Jersey. This is the first time Karen Abrams has been designated a New Jersey Super Lawyer, and she is thrilled to be included among so many extremely talented attorneys!

Meislik & Meislik’s 14th Annual Review of Recent Business and Real Property Law Developments

For the fourteenth year in a row, Meislik & Meislik will present its Annual Business and Real Estate Developments program for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE). This extremely popular program will review important New Jersey court decisions rendered in 2010. Steven Gellerstein and Ira Meislik will describe and interpret approximately 50 of the most interesting cases of 2010 and the program materials will include summaries of more than 400 court opinions. Over the years, this program has been attended by thousands of attorneys from the Tri-State area, many returning year after year. The case summary volumes furnished at these programs now cover more than 6,000 published and unpublished judicial decisions in the areas of business and real property law.

The program will be presented at two locations this year – in West Orange, New Jersey at the Wilshire Grand Hotel on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm, and then again on Thursday, February 24 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey at the Double Tree Hotel from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Meislik & Meislik to Co-Sponsor Program on New Jersey Permitting Process

Partnering with Bohler Engineering, ENVIRON Corp., and Peter Steck, a New Jersey land use planner with more than 30 years of experience in the field, this free three hour program, scheduled for October 5, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, will clarify what it takes to get project approvals in New Jersey, including plans, surveys, environmental studies, permits (e.g., zoning, building, signage), land use approvals, variances (at times), and more, as well as how to overcome the common roadblocks that applicants often face along the way.
